John Cox is Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer at Cox Capital Partners. He brings more than a decade of experience across private banking, alternative investments, and financial technology. Previously, he was the Head of Strategy at Alternative Investment Exchange (AIX) and held director roles at FS Investments, now Future Standard. John began his career in private banking at Credit Suisse. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from Boston University and CFA certification. His insights on alternative investment valuation and liquidity have been featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Marie Shelton is Head of Operations and Technology at Cox Capital Partners. She brings more than 20 years of experience across alternative investments, private equity, operations, and technology. Previously she was Managing Director at Redbrick LMD and held Executive Director roles at FS Investments, now Future Standard. Marie began her career in financial services at CNL. She earned her MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Marie also served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airborne Mission Systems Specialist on the E-8C Joint STARS.

Kate White is Director of Platforms and Systems at Cox Capital Partners. She brings more than 20 years of experience across financial services, including alternative investments, sales, operations, and technology. Kate began her career in process engineering at Multek, a subsidiary of Flextronics, before moving into financial services as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and later in B2B internal sales. Previously, she was SVP of Technology and Salesforce Product Manager at CAIS and held director roles at FS Investments, now Future Standard. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Pepperdine University.

Mark Q. Fuentes is a Strategic Advisor at Cox Capital Partners. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on alternative investments. Mark Fuentes is the Founder & Owner of MQF Consulting LLC. Previously he was SVP – Head of Operations at Ashford Securities LLC in Dallas, TX and held similar VP roles at FS Investments, now Future Standard, and Behringer. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

Cara Grim is an Operations Business Analyst at Cox Capital Partners. Previously she was a Music Copyright Specialist at APM Music. Prior to that, Cara gained experience in marketing and artist management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry and a minor in Business Administration from Drexel University.

Ayala Mehrotra is a Portfolio Support Analyst at Cox Capital Partners. Previously, she was a Business Unit Management Analyst at Future Standard. Prior to that, Ayala gained experience in private equity investing, data analytics, and product development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Economics and a concentration in Film and Media Studies from Tufts University.
