The mix of large ($3B+) traded BDCs is likely to experience significant changes in 2024 as private and non-traded BDCs begin trading on exchanges.
At least five private and public non-traded BDCs are positioning themselves to begin trading on national exchanges, including:
- Franklin BSP Lending Corp.
- Franklin BSP Capital Corp.
- Blue Owl Capital Corp. III
- Morgan Stanley Direct Lending
- Golub Capital BDC III
If successful, these liquidity events will likely continue to fuel the rise of the illiquid "lifecycle" fund offerings across IBD, RIA, and wirehouse channels.
